Welcome to our website.

For those of you who don’t know us yet: Our name is FOG. This is the Abbreviation for Followers Of Gandalf.

No we are not some kind of group of Lord of the Ring lovers. We are a badminton club from Tilburg.

Than why did we choose this name: Well let us start at the beginning.
Once upon a time we all played for a club called Sauron. This is the students badminton club at the University of Tilburg. But than came the time that the one after the other ended their study in Tilburg and had to leave this club.
But we stayed in touch and kept on playing in tournaments.

And than, as we were preparing to play a tournament at our old club, we decided that the time had come to choose a name for our new club.
One of us came up with the name Followers Of Gandalf as a tribute our trainer, Rinus Möhlman. Who unfortunately passed away in 2003 and who’s nickname was Gandalf.
